This is a small group 2 hour program for learners whohave challenges that interfere with learning in the mainstreamed classroom – (Students with Autism, Intellectual Challenges, Behaviours concerns etc).
It is a very structured setting providing positive andsupportive environment to enhance the learner’s motor, personal, social-emotional and academic domains.
We also incorporate co curricular activities like Theatre, dance, music and physical education twice a week. The students are provided opportunities to integrate with their age appropriate peers and participate in school programs.
After the initial screening by the Special Educator a Psycho-Educational Assessment is recommend with the Multi Disciplinary Team (Clinical Psychologist, Special educator, OT & BT) to ensure appropriate placement.
One on one Sessions
Students who are in the mainstream classroom requiring additional support in reading, writing and math are provided one on one support in the resource room twice or thrice a week ( 45 minutes each) as per their need to bridge the learning gaps.
Monthly SMART Goals
Monthly SMART goals are developed as per their IEP’s / CLP’s and monthly progress report shared with the parent. The Multi Disciplinary Team meets quarterly along with the coordinators to discuss the progress/address concerns if any.

“I am Latha Srinivasan, HOD, Special Education, with 26 years of experience in the field of Special Education. I have MA (Psy) M.ED and Special Education from a National Institute in Hyderabad. I have also worked in USA Public schools for 7 years.
My teaching career has been geared towards empowerment of diverse groups of students with special needs (Students with ASD, ADHD, Intellectual Challenges, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Difficulties and Multiple Challenges) I have a strong passion to educate and train students with special needs and assist them blossom into well rounded, responsible, successful and independent individuals. My years of experience have taught me the value of patience and encouragement in the classroom.
